Data Note: COVID-19, social distancing, and pipeline vandalism in Nigeria

We present a dataset of the monthly cases pipeline vandalism in Nigeria from January 2015 to 2021. Data used this study were collated Monthly Financial and Operations Reports (MFOR) National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Each MFOR provides during 12-month span five key locations; Mosimi, Kaduna, Port Harcourt, Warri, Gombe. Recorded incidences these locations summed assembled into groups; namely: historical data, prior-COVID-19, COVID-19 lockdown, post-COVID-19 lockdown. The data grouped based on dates. These dates July 2019, August 2019 2020, February 2020 2021 respectively. further sub-divided four sub-groups deployment (May 2016) sophisticated weapons, satellite imagery, geographical information system security apparatus checkmate vandalism.
